SINGLE SESSION THERAPY TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Definitions
This agreement is between the person attending Single Session Therapy (from now on called the “client”)
and Edison Astudillo (from now on called the “therapist”), who is the person delivering Single Session
Therapy.
The service offered is called Single Session Therapy (from now on called “session” or “SST”).


General
SST is a meeting designed to resolve an emotional or behavioural issue in one session.
SST is offered to clients who are 18 years old or older.
SST is not intended for emergency support.
SST is offered to individual clients and can last up to 90 minutes. It is delivered online as a video call or over
the phone.


Confidentiality and record-keeping
All information is recorded and held solely to maintain effective therapeutic work and to make contact
with clients.
All information shared by clients will be kept confidential unless the client and therapist agree to discuss
something with a third party. Other than this, the only reasons for breaking confidentiality would be if the
therapist considered that the client’s life was at risk of serious harm, if another person’s life was at risk of
serious harm, or if the therapist was liable to civil or criminal court proceedings if the information was not
disclosed. If at all possible, this should be discussed with the client beforehand.
The therapist will collect information from the client during the booking including the client’s name, email address and telephone number.


Payment
The fee for an SST is £90, and should be paid in advance by bank transfer at least 48 hours
before the scheduled appointment, or the session will be cancelled (1).


Cancellation policy and refunds
To cancel a scheduled SST, clients should text 07907466711 with their full name, the date and time of
their scheduled appointment, and their reason for cancelling.
The therapist has a 48-hour cancellation policy, which he adheres to strictly, except for a personal
tragedy or hospitalisation. If the client is late for more than 30 minutes, the session will be cancelled. The
client would not get a refund nor be offered a replacement session.


Issues with Internet connection
If the client has some difficulties with internet connection, video or audio at the time of the session, SST
should take place over the phone. If the client chooses not to have SST over the phone, session would
be rescheduled once.

Private space
For privacy and confidentiality, clients must be in a private and quiet place with no interruptions, noise or distractions,
including children under clients’ care. SST should not occur in a public space such as a park, coffee
shop, client’s car, work, etc.
The client agrees that if any of these conditions are not met, SST will be cancelled, and no replacement
session or refund will be offered.

Starting session on video call and Telephone
SST on video call:
The therapist would wait for the client to show up on at the agreed time. The
therapist would wait up to 10 minutes and log out. The therapist would be available by phone on
07907466711 for 20 more minutes, and then SST would be cancelled. No replacement SST would be
offered, nor would a refund be offered. SST should finish at the scheduled time. If there is any problem
logging into the video call, the client should call the therapist on 07907466711 immediately.


SST over the phone: The therapist will call the client from the number 07907466711 at the time of the
appointment. If there is no answer, the therapist will leave a message unless the answering machine is
not working. If the client doesn’t get a phone call from the therapist at the time of the session, the client
should call the therapist immediately. Should the client be unavailable to start SST at the scheduled time,
the session can still go ahead up to 30 minutes later. However, if the client is more than 30 minutes late,
SST will be cancelled. No replacement SST would be offered, nor a refund.


These terms and conditions may be amended from time to time without notice.

(1) When making payments, clients need to put their full name as a reference so payment can be identified and session confirmed.
